Perhaps the most important thing I'd like to convey about myself is that I am a fighter. Not a rough and rowdy "knuckles out, nose up" fighter, more of a tenaciously relentless, non-apologetic fighter for what is right in the world, what lifts us up, what brings us together as we journey onward and upward.
Throughout my journey I have learned that the strong survive, yet I have also learned that the survivors accept defeat, are aware of limits to capability, and have the virtue to keep going anyway. This is why I identify with the elephant, and would in fact call it my spirit animal. Elephants are known to be wise, powerful leaders, yet they value the herd over self, work to maintain community, and are perhaps one of the most ferociously gentle animals in the animal kingdom.
