Who We Are
The ARROW Project is made up of a group of hardworking professionals and volunteers that strive to bring mental health awareness and support to the SAW region of Virginia. Our core staff is comprised of our Executive Director Sabrina L. Burress, our Executive Team, Clinical Leadership team, and a board of advisors. We also work with an incredible student staff; you can read more about our current student clinicians on the “Our Staff” page.
Executive & Clinical Leadership
Sabrina L. Burress, MA HS, MA CMHC, LPC, NCC
Executive Director
A native of Staunton, VA, Sabrina felt the call to change careers from business administration to human services in 2011. She believes that activism, advocacy, collaboration and innovation are core components of comprehensive mental health care. As a clinician, she uses a family-systems approach, and has particular interest in attachment-focused treatment.
Jessica Lane, MA, RIC
Clinical Director
Jessica earned her B.S. from JMU in 2019, and her M.A. in Counseling from EMU in 2022. She and her husband (and their pup Cheeto!) fell in love with the charm of Staunton and are proud to call it home. Her clinical work is grounded in a mindfulness-humanistic approach, though she pulls from all areas of theory and intervention. Ultimately, she views counseling as collaborative process, and puts effort into being aware of each client’s unique needs.
Dr. Jenna Holt, MS, PsyD, LCP
Assessment Center
Jenna obtained her M.S. in Psychology Counseling from Radford, and her doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from JMU. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in treating a range of diagnoses across multiple settings, including residential, schools, intensive in-home, and outpatient. At ARROW, she conducts full psychological evaluations, and provides diagnoses and recommendations for treatment.
Gail Conner, MSW, LCSW
Director of Social Work Student Clinicians
Gail graduated from VCU and MCV with an MSW, and is currently a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Virginia. She works with a varied population, including a series, mental illness, occurring disorders, and substance use, as well as issues around domestic violence and homelessness.
Diane Gibbs, LPC
Supervisor of Residents in Counseling
